Bean Type: Arabica

Variety: Typica Mejorada

These Arabica coffee beans come from family farms in the idyllic "Sacred Valley" of the Incas, known as Vilcabamba, Loja.

Due to the optimal growing conditions of the Loja province with its cooler rainforest climates, rich soils, high altitudes and low pest levels it is now home to a large range of the best quality bean varieties of coffees in the world.

In Ecuadors 2022 "Taza Dorada" speciality coffee competition/auction 8 out of the 10 best coffees (from 97 entries) came from the Loja area and speciality high calibre coffee has now become the international export of the region.

The coffee's aroma is intense and floral with notes of chocolate and almonds.

Producing a flavour which is nutty with a medium to high refreshing fruity acidity which is balanced, not citrus or bitter and comes with a long smooth aftertaste that should win over any coffee lover.

Works well in all regular coffee styles or is great in an ice cold brew for relaxing in the summertime.
